Hi, I’m Kid Crayon — a visual artist and illustrator based in Bristol
My work is driven by a strong passion for character design and is heavily influenced by Hip Hop, skateboarding, and graffiti culture. A lot of my artistic inspiration comes from the 1990s — cartoons, video games, and the subcultures I grew up with continue to shape my visual style today. The name Kid Crayon was born from that mix of creativity and nostalgia, along with a long-standing love of western themes.
In recent years, I’ve focused primarily on mural work and spray-paint-based projects, but I also create using digital tools, alcohol markers, and acrylic paint. I’ve recently begun tattooing as a new way to explore and apply my style, and I continue to enjoy working on custom art toys and blank vinyls whenever time allows between commercial projects.
As a freelancer, I’ve collaborated with a range of clients including Adidas, Deliveroo, Roxy, Bristol University, and O2 Academy. I’m always looking for new and interesting opportunities to push my practice further.
I’m also one half of Eat Crew, an art duo I co-founded with fellow artist SP Zero in 2016. Together, we’ve worked on a number of collaborative mural projects. In addition, I’m a member of Gums and Tongue and Cloth Mother.
My aim is to continue evolving creatively while using my work to bring energy and positivity to public spaces.
