Jimmer Willmott is a pop-surrealist painter from Bristol, England; the bastard love child of Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol. In recent years Jimmer’s surrealist work has gained international attention with his print release ‘When Wet Dreams Go Wrong’ and ‘Calling All Carbs, Calling All Carbs!’
His painting; Politicians Stole my Lunch Money – ‘a critique of the kids in school who emptied your pockets of money and yet still became trusted politicians’ – was recently shown at the Scope Interactive Art Fair in Miami Beach, Florida and then again in the Thinkspace Gallery, Los Angeles, California.
In 2021, Jimmer will be in an upcoming four-person show at the Brassworks Gallery in Portland, Oregon. He will also continue to collaborate with and sell his work through KEEP Contemporary Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Jimmer’s work is a bright pallet of color that blends realism and surrealism with contemporary themes laced with humour. He is a sought-after voice in the underground art scene and is beginning to breach the mainstream.
