A group show featuring the best (and the worst) Urban Street Contemporary artists in the world…

Great to see the Notorious trouble makers Steal From Work return with Flogging A Dead Horse, a new group exhibition featuring some of the best (and some of the worst) urban, street & contemporary artists in the world.

Famed for taking over unused spaces (well before every man and his dog were), cramming them to bursting with exciting artists, injecting a huge shot of irreverence and producing some of Bristol’s brashest, busiest, most exciting, and certainly most loved art shows (12 Days of Xmas, Not A Penny Off The Pay, Crimes of Passion, etc), Steal From Work haven’t produced a show for two years. So why now?

Well, we’re a little bored and the urban-street-contemporary (God knows what to call it!) art scene is getting tedious again. Too many characterless galleries producing lifeless exhibitions. Too many curators afraid to take risks. Too many events with zero quality control. Too many artists happy to churn out the same piece again and again. In short, far too little excitement.

So we’re taking it back to the chaotic, rule breaking, breathtaking vibe behind our very first shows to produce Flogging A Dead Horse.

Oh, we nearly forgot to mention the artists! Well, in a scene where artists are almost mega-brands and the very mention of certain names are bandied about like golden tickets guaranteeing gallery success, we’ve decided to keep the list secret!!!

ARTISTS: Highly secret until opening night!
