INKIE – See No Evil V2 – Mural Nelson Street

I spent a week in early April documenting Inkie’s work on Nelson street updating the original See No Evil piece, originally painted in 2012 for the ‘See No Evil’ Street Art Festival.  Ten years on, it has been freshened up and restored.

Inkie 40 years in the game, his work just keeps getting better and better.

Heres a couple of stills from the week, enjoy! ❤🙏😎

Two INKIE – SEE NO EVIL films – A bit of history…

The first film, produced by Vince John documenting the restoring of INKIE’s See No Evil’ piece in 2022 originally painted for the See No Evil weekend street art project in 2012, organised by Inkie and other Bristol artists and producers, to celebrate Bristols vibrant street art and music culture.

Who’s Lenny? – See No Evil – 2012

The second film ‘Who’s Lenny’ features the event, history and birth of the current street art scene / alternative rave and music culture in Bristol, largely originally facilitated by John Nation, with 3D, Massive, SMITH & MIGHTY, Portishead, BANKSY, Nelly Hooper and all the many early writers and bristol producers and creatives now global names inspired by the rave scene and early traveller movement and black and asian culture in Bristol in the mid eighties.
The street art movement took some of its early roots from the space, care and time taken in some part, by John Nation at Barton Hill Youth club / Dean Lane skate park and inspired by the various Bristol clubs, shops and illegal raves and gatherings in the mid-late eighties / nineties in and around Bristol.
