Restoring 1LOVEART Website

To those of you who remember 1LOVE® from the beginning in 2008, will know that we built this brand very much from the ground up.
In true homegrown punk fashion, we fucked up, we learned and we improved as we went along. In 2016, we finally felt like we were beginning to get the formula right and arrived at the website format you see before you now. Well maybe not exactly the same, but near as dammit.
Unfortunately, just as things were taking off, personal circumstances crashed and 1LOVEART stopped trading during April 2016. It was a terrible time and losing the website and business was a devastating loss.
But life goes on and after some years of recovery, travel and making amends, life began to settle down.
During the lockdown of 2019 and with the encouragement of brilliantly talented artists and the SSOSVA crew, I found the courage to put on my first group show in over five years. ‘You are Not Alone – Consciousness Is A Collective’ in support of Bristol Children’s Charity’ was hosted at BackAlley Studios, Bristol, which turned out just right and for this I am very grateful.
Following the show and with thanks to the encouraging support of a local collector, I have been enabled to resurrect the website, from the only back-up I had saved. Supported by a brilliant web developer, we managed to patch and fix things up to get started.
It’s a work in progress, a bit punk, it’s a step on, still needs a fair bit of history adding, but this is something workable while we get there. Plans for a brand new website are afoot but we were keen to restore the history. A small contribution to Bristol street-art culture between 2008-2016. Restoration of the original from which to build a more mobile friendly future, but we have to start here.
I’ll be adding more history from the ‘Wayback Machine’ to restore the full history of the blog. And of course, we will be adding new stories, exciting new artists and some very nice products moving forwards. We’re also planning a ‘Pop Up’ gallery in central Bristol for the months of November/December 2021, so please do come down and say hello.
